Shopify and WooCommerce development for Kenyan businesses — M-Pesa ready.

WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify sites for companies in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and across Kenya, with M-Pesa checkout, WhatsApp ordering and pages that load fast on mobile data. Fixed prices in US dollars.

  • Nairobi is 2.5 hours behind Sri Lanka
  • M-Pesa STK Push checkout
  • Built for the Data Protection Act 2019

Sound familiar?

The conversations that usually lead here.

  • “Customers want to pay with M-Pesa.”

A card-only checkout loses the sale. They expect the M-Pesa prompt on their phone.

  • “Orders come in on WhatsApp.”

Screenshots, voice notes and copied prices, then checking every M-Pesa message by hand.

  • “The site is slow on mobile data.”

Heavy pages cost your customers data and time, and they leave before checkout.

M-Pesa API access goes through Safaricom’s Daraja platform and its go-live approval. We guide you through it. Availability and fees change, so we confirm the options for your business before quoting.

Data protection

Ready for Kenya’s Data Protection Act.

Your website collects personal data the moment someone fills in a form or places an order.

We set the site up so it supports your obligations under the Data Protection Act 2019, and we sign a data processing agreement because our team works on it from Sri Lanka. For legal advice, talk to your lawyer or the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

What we set up

  • Clear consent on forms and for marketing messages
  • A privacy notice that matches what the site actually collects
  • Cookie consent before analytics and ad tags load
  • Customer data kept in your accounts, not ours
  • Records that help with ODPC registration where it applies

Before you ask

Questions from Kenyan businesses.

Still unsure? Ask us directly — we answer in one business day.

Can you integrate M-Pesa with Shopify?

Yes, through a gateway app that supports M-Pesa, such as Paystack or Pesapal. For WooCommerce we can also connect directly to Safaricom’s Daraja API for STK Push.

Do we need our own Daraja account?

Yes. The M-Pesa API runs on your business’s Paybill or Till and your Daraja account, so the money goes straight to you. We set it up with you and handle the technical go-live steps.

When can we talk?

Our working day of 9am to 6pm Sri Lanka time is 6:30am to 3:30pm in Nairobi, so mornings and early afternoons are easy, and later calls can be arranged.

Do you have an office in Kenya?

No. We work remotely from Sri Lanka, as we already do for clients in Singapore, Australia, the UK and the US. You get a named developer, weekly updates and a WhatsApp line.

How do we pay you?

We invoice in US dollars in milestones, usually paid by international bank transfer. Ask on the first call if you need another option.
